Where to Buy Gas in Various Parts of Brisbane

Gas stations need to consider their situation carefully amidst a lot of talk about the “great rort” in Brisbane. However, as consumers, we just need to be better informed as there are many gas stations fighting price inflation or aiming to maximise their profit per customer.

Here are the facts:

Gas prices during August and September across Brisbane ranged between $1.50 and $2.20.

The excise duty subsidy in place for petrol and diesel prices was removed on Sept 29, increasing the price to gas stations by 25.3 cents per litre.

Inflation is rife in Brisbane, the official RBA figure is 6% but it feels greater than 10% given mortgages, groceries, and now gas, are rising in price so rapidly.

We all have a choice where we buy gas and frankly some areas simply sell gas at a far higher rate than others.

Below is a guide to where petrol is better value than in other areas. The very best way to track this is to use one of the great apps which we will list below. Often, we just need a rough area where we will find cheaper gas and a rough area where we should only buy gas as a last resort. By bearing those two things in mind, we will likely save $10-20 per fill-up.
