Weekend of 18 – 20 September 2026
This weekend’s arts calendar spans Moreton Bay’s council galleries and museums – Redcliffe Art Gallery, Pine Rivers Art Gallery, Caboolture’s Hub Gallery, Redcliffe Museum, Pine Rivers Heritage Museum and Bribie Island’s arts centre and museum – alongside a youth dance production at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre.

Yvette's Mixed Media Workshop
20 September 2026 | Bribie Island Community Arts Centre, Banksia Beach
A full-day hands-on mixed media art workshop led by artist Yvette Fanciulli, with all supplies provided and participants completing finished art pieces on the day.
Lace It Up

A free exhibition tracing the history of lace from a hand-crafted symbol of wealth and status to a contemporary medium of storytelling and artistic expression.
The Ribbon Room

Artist Sunday Jemmott transforms The Hub Gallery into an immersive, playful space of colourful ribbons celebrating participation and free self-expression.
QLD College of Dance Youth: A Christmas Story

QLD College of Dance Youth presents A Christmas Story at Redcliffe Entertainment Centre, with two performances on Sunday 20 September at 2:00pm and 4:30pm. Estimated duration is one hour with no interval.
15 Artists at Redcliffe Art Gallery

An annual acquisitive exhibition presenting recent work by 36 shortlisted artists from across the City of Moreton Bay, exploring themes of belonging, resilience, memory and place through sculpture, video, textiles and installations. The winning artwork earns a $20,000 prize and enters the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection.
Idée Fixe – Répétition & Refinement
18 – 19 September 2026 | Redcliffe Art Gallery (Foyer), Redcliffe
Artel Studio presents Idée Fixe – Répétition & Refinement, showcasing explorations from 42 artists with disability across painting, drawing, and mixed media. The exhibition runs in the Redcliffe Art Gallery foyer from 8 August to 14 November 2026.
Clay on Display 2026
18 – 20 September 2026 | Old Fire Station Gallery, Redcliffe
The Redcliffe Pottery Group’s annual members’ exhibition features handbuilt, wheelthrown and sculptural ceramics from local artists, including categories for birds and everyday objects. Visitors can vote for the People’s Choice Award. Open Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 3pm throughout the 2–27 September run.

A silent auction running alongside the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, with bid forms available at the Redcliffe Museum front desk for the humorous wildlife photographs on display.

(BE)LONGING shares the perspectives of emerging First Nations creatives reflecting on connection to culture, kin, self and Country, developed in partnership with Munimba-ja’s Blak Creatives Program.
Creative Space: Art Collection Up Close

An interactive, all-ages exhibition of works from the City of Moreton Bay’s art collection curated by three local toddlers, with free art activities and a gallery magnet wall for visitors to curate their own selection.

An exhibition of recently acquired and existing work from the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection by Waanyi artist Judy Watson, spanning textile, video and printmaking to draw attention to underrepresented histories of Australia and the enduring presence of First Nations people and culture. The third exhibition in the gallery’s Art Collection in Focus series.
Tracing the Edges: Creative Space

A free drop-in creative space by artists Lexie Abel and Libby Harward exploring connections to Country, with hands-on making activities led by artist and educator Clea North.
Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year
18 – 20 September 2026 | Pine Rivers Heritage Museum, Whiteside
A free exhibition of stunning nature photography capturing the flora, fauna and natural formations of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea, produced by the South Australian Museum.
Several of this weekend’s gallery exhibitions – including 15 Artists, Idée Fixe, Blak Creatives Exchange, Creative Space: Art Collection Up Close and Tracing the Edges – are closed on Sundays, so a Friday or Saturday visit to Redcliffe Art Gallery or Pine Rivers Art Gallery is best; the museums, Old Fire Station Gallery and The Hub Gallery remain open right through the weekend.
Weekend of 11 – 13 September 2026
Arts and culture in Moreton Bay that weekend took in gallery exhibitions in Caboolture, Redcliffe and Strathpine, a community art trail on Bribie Island, and a free live music afternoon in Narangba.
